Grounding in the ways of cultural communal care, we are gathering because we want to explore the black and asian dynamic. We know what has been told to us, what has been withheld from us, and what we have lived is fraught with misunderstanding, fear, harm, and hurt and we want to find a different way.
We are not experts. We do not have a guidebook or know where this will lead, or what the outcomes are. As end-of-life doulas of the global majority, we hope to share stories from our lives as a beginning point for this conversation. We invite you to add to the wisdom of community as we seek/cultivate solidarity to imagine beyond today.
